The Corporate Accounting Analyst will assist in the corporate general ledger accounting functions.
Position Description
- Prepare and analyze consolidated corporate financial statements on a monthly basis
- Review daily/nightly journal entries and their effect on the general ledger
- Prepare monthly consolidating entries
- Assist payroll with proper recording of entries
- Work closely with other department personnel to ensure accounts accurately reflect activity
- Assist in the preparation of supporting financial schedules for annual financial statement audit, regulatory filings, and other periodic reporting requirements
- Assist in recording of capital expenditure activity
- Make correcting entries as necessary
- Maintain and reconcile intercompany accounts
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Provide regular and informative communication to management to improve ability to make key business decisions
- Review accounts for accuracy and trend analysis
- Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred, may consider demonstrated experience in lieu of degree
- Two+ year’s experience in hotel or hospitality experience a plus
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs requirements of education and experience.
