Kitchen Steward

Department: Stewarding
Location: Louisville, KY

The kitchen steward/ dishwasher will contribute to the cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning dishes, silverware, glasses, pots, pans and other cooking utensils used in preparing food.

Work Requirements:

  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.

  • Cleans and sanitizes pots, pans, cups, bowls, utensils and other minor equipment routinely used in the kitchen following established procedures.

  • Cleans and maintains floors and work stations in the kitchen.

  • Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.

  • Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.

  • Collects and removes trash from department areas following established guidelines.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

  • Standing for hours at a time.
