Banquet Server - Crowne Plaza

Job Description

Responsible for communicating with banquet team members and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience which meets or exceeds guest expectations. Responsible for setting, clearing, serving and cleaning banquet dining tables.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support the Crowne Plaza hallmarks and standards.
  2. Greet guests and answer questions regarding food and beverage.
  3. Serve three to four tables, as determined by management during sit down function.
  4. Responsible for stocking stations and completing pre and post job duties as outlined by the manager.
  5. Able to interact with guests in a friendly/fast manner.
  6. Ability to set, clear, and serve tables during banquet function.
  7. Observe guests during meal needs and respond to requests appropriately
  8. All guests must be treated in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed guests’ expectations.
  9. Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  10. Assist team members as needed
  11. All other duties as required.

Competencies

  1. Knowledge of customer service
  2. Attention to detail with work ensuring accuracy is met and exceeded

Education & Experience

  1. Generally 0-2 years of experience required.
  2. One must be a minimum of 20 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages to hotel guest per KY Liquor Law.

Work Environment

This job operates in our back of house which at times can be a loud setting. This role may be exposed to hazards, including, but not limited to cuts, slips, falls, tripping and burns. Hands must be frequently washed. 

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The position may require occasional lifting of products weighing up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time non-exempt position with expectation to work necessary business hours to ensure business needs are met during the operation of the Banquets Department.
