Chief Financial Officer

Location:

Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the executive team responsible for the financial health of the Al J. Schneider Company. This role involves managing the company's financial strategy, ensuring financial compliance, overseeing financial operations, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports.
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets.
  • Reviews planning process and suggests improvements to current methods.
  • Analyzes operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, billing, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Studies long-range economic trends and projects their impact on future growth in sales and market share.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and presentations for board meetings and investor relations.
  • Identifies opportunities for expansion into new product areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  • Oversees investment of funds and works with investment bankers to raise additional capital required for expansion.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial strategy development, financial planning and analysis, and financial operations management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and excel.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and analytical skills.

Working Conditions:
